Claro
Claro Brazil is a telecommunications operator offering mobile, satellite TV, fixed-line, and broadband services across Brazil.
Role
Worked as the sole Product Designer in an Agile team of 3 developers, a product owner, scrum master, quality engineer, and product manager. Led design direction, ideation, and cross-functional collaboration.
Design Process
My approach followed a structured UX process:
Empathize: Stakeholder interviews, journey mapping, competitor analysis
Define: Problem statements, personas, user journeys
Ideate: Information architecture, user flows
Design: High-fidelity prototypes, visual design
Test: Usability testing, Google Analytics insights, iterative improvements
Tools: Figma, Miro, Microsoft Office
Problem
Developed and implemented an alternative login and sign-up experience for Claro’s mobile app, improving accessibility and reducing friction for users. The new flow allowed login via mobile number with a verification code, in addition to email/password.

Solutions
- Introduced dual login options: email/password and mobile number with verification code.
- Designed a flexible system allowing users to select their preferred method in app settings.
- Maintained component consistency by leveraging existing design system standards.

Challenges
Iterated multiple design concepts due to development constraints and tight timelines.
Results
- Increased active clients by 70.5K in the first month.
- Boosted app downloads and improved onboarding experience.
Outcome
Reinforced the value of prototyping, validating new concepts, and keeping designs aligned with user needs and technical feasibility.
